McCall Figure Skating Club (MFSC) is a U.S. Figure Skating affiliated club located at the Manchester Ice & Event Centre in beautiful McCall, Idaho. Formed in 2001, MFSC’s members were originally at the mercy of Mother Nature, as the only skating facility was an outdoor parking lot behind Gravity Sports that was flooded in the winter and completely dependent on cold weather temperatures for an ice surface.

However, through generous contributions to the Richard J. Sabala Foundation, and the visionary persistence of the Sabala Family, Manchester Ice & Event Centre, MFSC’s home rink, opened in 2003. Today, MFSC sponsors several U.S. Figure Skating sanctioned events each year, including a competition and testing session, two ice show productions, a summer performance camp, and spotlight exhibition performances during hockey game intermissions.

The McCall Figure Skating Club is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to supporting the practice, instruction, and advancement of figure skating. Our club encourages respect and goodwill among skaters, parents, coaches, and the McCall community.

MFSC Mission Statement

McCall Figure Skating Club’s mission is to provide a standardized guideline of ethics, standards and conduct to ensure the quality, integrity and moral environment of US Figure Skating, its member clubs and programs via the Safe Sport Policies and Codes of Conduct. McCall FSC is committed to creating a safe and positive environment for members’ physical, emotional and social development and ensuring that it promotes an environment free of misconduct. To further this goal, the Club requests the cooperation and agreement from all members, coaches, skaters, officials and parents, even if they are not Club members themselves.    Click below for full statement.

Skate Safe

We all can play a role in preventing abuse and reducing misconduct in sport. The U.S. Figure Skating Skatesafe (SafeSport) Program provides resources for all members to help identify abuse and misconduct, steps that can be taken to reduce it and procedures to respond to it.  U.S. Figure Skating strives to provide a safe environment for it’s members that is free of misconduct and harassment. The association will not tolerate or condone any form of harassment or misconduct of any of its members including athletes, coaches, officials, directors, employees, parents, volunteers or any other persons while they are participating in or preparing for a figure skating activity or event.
